Weekly Peace Vigils every Thursday.  Leafleting and community-building with the down town folks on lunch break.  Copies of each weeks leaflets here.

Where:

Nolan Plaza by the Claes Oldenburg Crusoe Umbrella--2nd and Locust

Des Moines, IA

When:

Thursday Peace  vigils in Nolan Plaza in down town Des Moines  between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Now is the time to keep the pressure on in the public arena against this "immoral, unjust and illegal war" in Iraq

Weekly Peace Vigil at the Iowa Air National Guard Headquarters in DM
Date:
Every Wed.
Time:
4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Place:
3100 McKinley Avenue, Des Moines  (Go south on Fleur to Mckinley and turn west for a short distance.)

We are vigiling at the IA Air Guard because members of the 132nd Fighter Wing are among 250 IA National Guard personal who were recently redeployed to the war in Iraq. According to an April 16, DM Register story, "The airmen of the 132nd Fighter Wing will launch F-16 aircraft over Iraq to attack enemy forces and search for
